First Senses
Please use your camera with caution; respect that other parents/carers may not want their child in the picture, and please make sure it’s put away somewhere safe after use.
Of course, if you’d like to drop in to take a quick look, please phone ahead so we know to expect you, there is no charge for coming to take a peek but if you want to stay and play there is a charge.
Messy Play
Babies in arms are free and more than welcome. When they sit unaided there is nothing stopping them from getting fully involved in the messy play areas, and as soon as they are able to take part there is only a small charge for siblings.
Due to hiring charges and costs of materials, I’m afraid we can’t offer a refund. Refunds will be issued if sessions are canceled by First Senses due to unforeseen circumstances (unfortunately this does not include adverse weather conditions that prevent members from traveling to the sessions) and make up sessions are not possible.
As part of a group, it is naturally a more social experience which leaves more cautious children more willing to explore. It is perfectly normal for some to be a little unsure of certain textures, but with encouragement and involvement from their parents/carers, this is enough to fill them with confidence and get fully involved. Messy play can be split into 3 stages (dry, soft and wet), each of which are represented each session and explored at the child’s own pace – instilling confidence to explore the next stages.
First Senses sessions can accommodate up to 40 children comfortably depending on the size of the venue which is being used. Our class sizes do vary from venue to venue and to ensure health and safety of our members, Your child remains your responsibility whilst at First Senses classes.
It is advisable that both you and your child wear clothes that you won’t mind getting messy. Please bring a change of clothes for your child to go home warm and dry. Please bring a towel to dry off with and a plastic bag to take wet clothes home in.

Slime Workshop
Slime Workshops by First Senses
Yes. Our slime workshops are safe. We source all our materials from trusted suppliers, high street retailers and well known supermarkets. These materials are provided in the knowledge that parents/carers supervise children whilst they play with them.
We use non-toxic, washable school glue. We do not use borax.
Yes your child/ren are your responsibility whilst at our events. Children must be supervised at all times.
Slime workshops are generally 1 hour unless stated in the event.
Our express sessions usually last 45 minutes.
Of course we can! Our slime parties are a unique party which are great value for money. Contact us for more information.
We recommend to wear old clothes that you don’t mind getting slimely. We request that children with long hair tie this back during the workshop to avoid any slime getting in their hair.
Children will have the opportunity to make and take home 2 slimes. One will be a simple recipe and the other one will usually be more complex.
Children will learn new techniques and have the chance decorate their slime.
